The Story Behind Life Beyond Long COVID
For ten years, Lyme Disease completely altered my life.
I lived with brain fog so thick I couldn’t follow basic conversations, fatigue that didn’t respond to rest, and food intolerances that seemed to multiply overnight. I went from running a newspaper and remodeling a Victorian home to staring at a wall for three years straight—my "Zombie Years," as I call them now.
The standard medical system couldn’t offer an explanation for why everything was connected, why nothing worked, or why I kept declining.
Then, in January 2012, I began working with an energy healer, and the trajectory of my life completely shifted. Within six months of learning to work directly with my body's subtle energy systems, I found my way back to real vitality. Not a "managed symptom" baseline. True vitality.
From Personal Restoration to Private Practice
That was the moment I realized I could do this work, too. I spent the next 15 years studying Applied Kinesiology, Quantum Touch, CranioSacral Therapy, and somatic regulation.
Through my practice, Healing Invisible Illness, I worked with complex chronic conditions that didn't fit neatly into conventional medical boxes. I learned firsthand that an exhausted body is never "broken"—it is communicating, protecting, and responding. When we work at the energetic level where those protective loops live, profound shifts in systemic steadiness become possible.
When Long COVID emerged, I immediately recognized the architecture: nervous systems locked in chronic threat loops, systems burning through cellular energy just trying to survive baseline existence, and women engaging in the same desperate search for answers I had lived through years prior.
