Life, Actually
Enjoy the things you love again.
A four-week energetic intensive for people with Long COVID
Imagine hearing a friend is coming to visit, and feeling happy about it.
Or picking up a book because you actually want to read it.
Or having something next week you're genuinely looking forward to.
Three private remote sessions · Four Weeks · $750 Founding Price
You miss wanting things.
Maybe you still love reading, but no book sounds interesting.
Maybe your favorite music doesn't quite reach you anymore.
Maybe someone invites you to dinner, and you can't tell whether you don't want to go or simply don't have the energy.
Or maybe you've stopped looking forward to things altogether.
Long COVID can make the activities you love physically difficult. But sometimes something else happens, too.
Even when you have the capacity to enjoy something, the desire just isn't there.
The anticipation. The curiosity. The pleasure of doing something simply because you want to.
It's as though someone turned the volume down on life.
That's the experience Life, Actually was created to address.
What would you love to enjoy again?
I'd like you to imagine something for a moment. Not a life without Long COVID. Not a day when you suddenly have all your old energy back. Just something you used to love.
Maybe it's getting lost in a book, forgetting about everything else for a little while.
Maybe it's hearing that a friend is coming to visit and actually looking forward to seeing her.
Maybe it's food tasting wonderful again. Feeling excited about a trip. Getting interested in a project you've been putting off—not because you should finish it, but because you genuinely want to.
What would you choose?
When we begin working together, we'll identify your personal Big Three: the experiences you'd most love to reconnect with. They don't have to be impressive. They don't have to be things anyone else would consider important.
They just have to matter to you.
And if you can only think of one right now, that's plenty.
Those experiences become our touchstones throughout the intensive. As we work together, we'll pay attention to whether something is shifting—not just in how you feel generally, but in the actual things you miss about your life. Because the point isn't to become better at managing the absence of enjoyment.
It's to see whether some of that enjoyment can come back.
A DEFINED, PERSONAL ENGAGEMENT
What is Life, Actually?
Life, Actually is a focused, four-week energetic intensive designed to address the loss of pleasure, anticipation, interest, and motivation that can accompany Long COVID.
I've spent decades working energetically with people navigating complicated chronic illness. More recently, my research into Long COVID and dopamine led me to focus on something that often gets lost in the conversation about physical symptoms: what happens when people stop enjoying their lives.
I began exploring that loss directly through my energetic work.
Life, Actually grew out of that investigation.
Rather than giving you a course to complete or exercises to practice, I work with you individually, using muscle testing and energetic perception to guide the sessions.
We begin with what you're experiencing, including the things you've identified in your Big Three. From there, I follow the energetic patterns I find, paying attention to what changes as we go.
The work is individualized because your experience of Long COVID is individual, too.
01
Deep Dive
90 minutes
We begin with a substantial private session. We'll talk about what you've been experiencing, what you most want to enjoy again, and the changes that would make the greatest difference in your everyday life.
Then we'll begin the energetic work, guided by what I find.
02
Fine-Tune
45-60 minutes· About one week later
We'll look at what you've noticed since our first session.
Maybe something feels different. Maybe a familiar activity has become a little more appealing. Maybe nothing obvious has shifted yet.
Whatever you're experiencing, we'll use it to guide the next session and continue the energetic work.
03
Deep Dive
45-60 minutes * Approximately three weeks later
We'll return to your Big Three and look at what's changed over the course of our work together.
This final session gives us an opportunity to reinforce the work, address what still needs attention, and consider what you're noticing in your everyday life.
Three sessions. Four weeks. Room for real life.
Scheduling is flexible because chronic illness doesn't always cooperate with a calendar. Voxer check-ins between sessions are included.
There's no homework program to keep up with, no expectation to push beyond your physical limits, and no indefinite commitment.
Sometimes the changes are surprisingly ordinary.
One woman I worked with was still severely exhausted when she began looking forward to an overseas trip with her daughter.
Her physical limitations hadn't disappeared. But the anticipation had returned.
Another woman, living with significant chronic illness, found herself able to put away a pile of clean laundry that had been sitting on a chair for ages.
It might not sound like much from the outside.
But when you've spent months unable to find the motivation to begin something, that small moment of wanting—and being able—to do it can mean a great deal.
These are different experiences: one about anticipation, the other about motivation.
Both speak to something I find deeply interesting about this work.
Enjoyment and motivation may begin to change even while physical limitations remain.

Life doesn't have to wait for a perfect day.
Of course you want more energy. More physical capacity. More freedom to do the things illness has taken away.
I want those things for you, too.
But what if enjoying more of your life didn't have to wait until your body was completely well?
What if you could still have limitations and look forward to something?
Still need to pace yourself and become fascinated by a book?
Still have Long COVID and find that something actually sounds good?
You might find yourself:
Looking forward to something again. Feeling that little spark of anticipation about a visit, an outing, or something coming up next week.
Getting interested in things again. Discovering that a book, a conversation, or an idea genuinely catches your attention.
Enjoying the moment you're in. Finding pleasure in music, food, laughter, or the ordinary experiences that make a day feel like yours.
Feeling more like yourself. Not because every symptom has disappeared, but because some of the parts of life you've been missing are beginning to feel available again.
Your body may still have healing to do. But your life is happening now.
And I think it's worth exploring how much of it you might be able to enjoy.
IS THIS FOR YOU?
Is Life, Actually right for you?
This intensive was created for people living with Long COVID who recognize that something about their enjoyment of life has gone quiet.
You may feel flat or uninterested in things you once loved. You may struggle to look forward to experiences, get motivated, or find pleasure in ordinary moments.
You don't need to know anything about dopamine. You don't need to arrive with three impressive goals. And you don't need to be physically well enough to resume all your old activities.
You do need to be open to energetic work and interested in discovering what might change for you.
We'll begin with a complimentary 20-minute fit call. It's an opportunity for you to tell me a little about what you've been experiencing, ask questions, and see whether Life, Actually feels like the right next step.
A NOTE FROM KARI
I've spent decades working energetically with people living with complicated chronic illness. I've also lived through chronic Lyme disease myself, so I know something about what it means when illness takes over your life.
My work has always been about looking beyond the obvious, following patterns that aren't necessarily visible on a conventional medical chart, and helping people find possibilities they may not have known were available.
Life, Actually grew out of that same curiosity.
I became fascinated by a particular loss I kept encountering: people who were still here, still doing their best to manage their illness, but no longer finding much pleasure in being alive.
I began looking at that experience differently.
And the more I explored it, the more convinced I became that enjoyment deserved attention in its own right.
Because I don't believe every part of enjoying your life should have to wait until your body is finished healing.
I'd love to help you explore what's possible.
